International Leadership Conference - The Elements of Leadership

The Chair Academy’s 30th Anniversary International Leadership Conference will be held November 18-21, 2021, in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.

The conference goal is to:
• Provide an interactive forum for educational leaders at all levels
• Address administrative and academic needs of higher education/organizational leaders
• Develop the skills required for effective leadership
• Maximize the opportunity for conferees to interact, network and build community

The Chair Academy’s conference is an exceptional opportunity for participants to meet and share ideas, issues, and challenges with colleagues from global higher education organizations. Participants gain practical knowledge, new ideas and tools, as well as current research and trends from world renowned speakers, presenters and concurrent sessions

Covid and the Conference

The Chair Academy has been asked by many of our registrants about the state of Covid protocols and safety at the event.

Arizona venues, including restaurants, hotels, and event venues, each have their individual protocols and recommendations regarding masks and social distancing.  However, that is all it is, a recommendation.  Some venues say “strong” recommendation, mirroring language and practices in alignment with the CDC. Currently, there are no state restrictions, and we are not anticipating any in the near future.  With that, we are asking our leaders to decide for themselves, where their comfort zone is. 

We understand all our participants will have differing opinions either way. We have done what we can, from our end. We are providing masks to all participants. We have the sanitation stations throughout the meeting space, and we are socially distancing in the meeting spaces as much as possible. We cannot enforce any sort of mask mandates, so we are at the mercy of common sense, and concern for others.

We hope to see you in Scottsdale, and we understand that you need to do what is best for you, during these challenging times..
